From the heart of North Sumatra
Our resin comes from the forests of North Sumatra, where Styrax trees grow naturally in the highlands around Lake Toba.
It is collected by hand by local farming communities, using knowledge and methods passed down through generations. This careful way of harvesting respects the trees, the forest and the people who depend on it.
Together with local institutes and partners, we also explore practical ways to strengthen the farming system around the resin. This includes food forest development, intercropping and other land-use practices that may help farmers diversify their income over time, while keeping the forest landscape productive and valued.
Where further selection, preparation or processing is needed, we work with trusted local partners in North Sumatra. This gives our resin a clear origin, a reliable local base and a product story that is relevant for fragrance, incense, wellness and selected retail markets.
